The Role:

We are looking to hire an Accounts and Operations Administrator to handle accounting tasks as well as provide administrative support. As an Administrator, you will be involved in all aspects of the accounting function, including accounts receivable, accounts payable and internal audit to improve efficiency and reduce waste. The company is a great believer in leveraging on technology to improve the efficiency of our systems and processes. To this end, it invests heavily in IT and training. The company uses CRM software and outsourced
SAGE book-keeping and participates in electronic invoicing systems with Surrey County
Council, the NHS and other local authorities and government agencies.

Required Skills:

  • English essential (oral/written communication)
  • You must be IT literate but necessary training to fulfil the role will be provided.
  • Time management and organisation skills are essential.
  • You must be able and willing to multitask.
  • You must have good numeracy skills.
  • You must have an open mind and strong desire to learn new ways of doing things.

The main duties are as follows:

  • Handling petty cash transactions.
  • Handling and managing accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Maintaining accounting files and gathering information for out-sourced book- keeping, HMRC and external auditors.
  • Submitting quarterly VAT returns.
  • Assisting with monthly payroll using Moneysoft® software.
  • Monitoring monthly pension contributions.

· Keep the company vehicles always clean and maintained.

· Perform preventative and regular maintenance on the company vehicles.

· Manage company’s fleet of vehicles including taking responsibilities for vehicle maintenance, insurance, and administration of records.

· Manage and monitor fuel usage.

Person Specification:

  • A degree or recognised diploma in Finance, Accounting or Business Studies is required although QBE (Qualifications by Experience) will also be considered favourably.
  • Candidates working towards CIMA, ATT, ACCA will be supported.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ambitious and keen to learn new technologies to increase productivity, reduce waste and improve service quality.
  • Willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Honesty, integrity, and humility are desired qualities that are highly valued.
