What we are looking for

As an Account Payable Officer, it will be your responsibility to ensure accurate and efficient processing of Accounts Payable details in company financial management system.

Key responsibilities in the role are but not limited to:
Ensure accurate and efficient processing of Accounts Payable details (not limited to supplier tax invoices and credit notes into the company financial management system)

Perform the process of matching purchase order and receipt details to invoices in Converga to enable supplier invoices to flow into Oracle for payment

Verify that invoices are authorised in accordance with company Delegation of Authorities policy and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including GST, FBT & WET, and contractual obligations

Provide assistance to internal stakeholders regarding status of invoice, status of payment.

Assist and support all stakeholders continuously to have an understanding of the TSEG P2P process

Liaise with various internal and external stakeholders resolving challenges presenting in relation to the completion of purchase orders (e.g. receipting issues, incorrect set up/unit prices etc)

Answer supplier queries regarding the status of accounts and payment confirmation

Ensure the payment of creditors in accordance with terms

Ensure that all credits are claimed from suppliers

Investigate and resolve or if required escalate any payment discrepancies

Identify and recommend continuous improvement of processes, policies, and procedures as they pertain to Accounts Payable

BE YOUR BEST SELF

To be successful in this role you will have:
Previous 2-3 years’ working in an Accounts Payable position

Comprehensive exposure to the AP Module within a “ERP” Finance System such as Oracle, SAP or equivalent and exposure to automated invoice scanning system

Strong written and verbal communication skills

High attention to detail accompanied with amazing problem-solving skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with conflicting deadlines
