What will I be doing day-to-day?
In a nutshell – you will be working within a tight-knit Finance team in a fast-paced environment, across a growing Group of 5 software businesses in the Drinks, Supply Chain and Financial Services sectors (across the UK, Ireland and the US).
Your focus in this role will be on the accounts receivable function of the Group. As we are part of a PLC, whilst there is a uniform reporting structure, the diverse makeup of the Group offers great variety in the role.
You will also have the opportunity to work with a range of systems including Great Plains, Blackline, MS Teams, Concur, ConnectWise, Workday
In a bit more detail, your key responsibilities will include:
Collation of sales information utilising various processes across multiple business units
Creation of sales invoices and credit notes seeking correct authorisation as appropriate
Recording cash receipts with allocation of funds to relevant customer documents in a timely manner
Maintaining customer register to include setting up of new customers
Processing monthly deferred, AR and AFDA schedules
Preparing monthly reconciliation reports for upload to Blackline
Carrying out ad hoc projects and any other reasonable duties as required by Management

What do I need to be eligible to apply?
One of the following;
Possess a recognised Accounting qualification (e.g. AAT, CIMA, ACCA, ACA), PLUS 2 years relevant experience in an Accounts/Finance related role
Hold a relevant university degree (or equivalent) PLUS 2 years relevant experience in an Accounts/Finance related role
3+ years relevant experience in an Accounts/Finance related role
Excellent IT skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
Experience of working at pace and to tight deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent prioritisation skills, attention to detail and accuracy
Experience of working on own initiative
Currently holds independent right to work in the UK / Ireland
It’s not a deal breaker but we would really like it if you also had:
Experience of working in a multi-currency environment
Experience of working in a multi-company/business unit environment
Experience of working in the technology sector
Knowledge of software packages such as Great Plains, Blackline, Concur, ConnectWise, etc.
