Summary:
The Assistant Controller has oversight of all accounting activities and various financial reporting requirements.

This individual must ensure compliance to all health and safety policies, rules and regulations and universal housekeeping standards. He or she is expected to meet or exceed production, efficiency and quality requirements at all times.

Responsibilities:
Oversight of all accounting department activities.

Oversight of daily, weekly, monthly reports and financial statements.

Prepare various JE for month end closing and reconciliation to guarantee the completeness and accuracy of the General Ledger

Oversight on any accounting reports to Corporate office

Managing company payments, prepare cash flow projections and reports as requested

Managing compliance with tax filing and other legal or statistical reporting

Oversight of all financial audit activities.

Maintaining the accounting ERP systems and troubleshooting with IT as problems arise.

This position has three direct reports: Accounts Payable Clerk, Accounts Receivable Clerk, and General Accountant

Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent knowledge of journal entries, trial balance analysis and financial statements preparation.

Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.

Excellent knowledge of ERP systems with preference for Open Accounts, MP2 and AVP

CPA designation or equivalent experience preferred

Previous experience in a related role preferred.

A minimum of 5 years of related experience in an accounting environment.

High level of accuracy.
