Assistant Manager -Hluhluwe iMfolozi Park Job at HotelJobs.co.za – in Hluhluwe, KwaZulu-Natal
Salary – Negotiable – based on experience of successful candidate
After Probation period of 3 months – Cost to Company Medical Contribution R500 per month and provident fund of 3,5% Employee Contribution and 5,5% Company contribution
Work Schedule – to be finalized at interview stage
Live-in accommodation; meals and laundry provided; drinks charged at staff price.
Reports to the Lodge Manager and General Manager
REQUIREMENTS:
Hospitality Diploma or tertiary qualifica tion in Management
Computer Literate – Opera/SEMPER/IQ, Microsoft WORD, EXCEL/Microsoft Office, Email/Outlook
English speaking, fluent in written and spoken English
Zulu (Speak) – certainly a great benefit
Driver’s License valid PDP essential
Valid First Aid Certification
South African Citizen
Physically fit, sober habits and in good health
PE RSONALITY:
Honest person with high sense of integrity
Sense of ownership and pride in work, holding oneself accountable for performance
Well groomed, good personal hygiene & presentable with a bubbly, friendly personality
Strong work ethic, ability to work unsupervised, work flexible and exte nded hours

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE:
Previous work experience of at least 2 years in management roles in related lodge environments.
Management experience in luxury lodge environment – and a diverse and intense property
Focus on Guest experience delivery from kitchen (back of house) & bar and waitron departments (front of house)
Accustomed to reporting systems – daily & weekly; presenting month end packs to Operations & Finance Depts
Understanding of budget control and financial management and planning
HR functions of the lodge
Hands on staff management and staff disciplinary process
Delicately manage community staff and drive the development/upliftment process of employees
Eye for detail in terms of lodge décor and cleanliness
Excellent front office skills with sound guest reception experience
Experience and ability to train staff
Benefit to have a love for the bush
TASKS / RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Reservations/Reception
bookings are done at Head Office therefore Lodge just to update the lodge sheet with current details & work the reservations from paper to arrival to departure
Finance, Admin, Stock Controls & Stocktaking
HR
General Duties
Curio Shop
orders, stock control, stocktaking
check variety of stock and track sales prices, offer special to get stock moving
