Associate Financial Support & Data Analyst Job at Sharp Electronics Corp. – 3.8 in Montvale, NJ

Overview:
Under the general direction of the Assoc. Director Financial, Planning & Analysis, this position will be responsible for the development and improvement of financial / operational metrics reporting.

Responsibilities:
Assist in the creation and distribution of financial and operational metrics reporting.

Support month-end Close process through P&L analytics in comparison to Budget / Prior Year.

Manage, prepare, analyze and consolidate divisional sales and profitability forecast requirements and submit to parent company.

Assist in the management of the Budgeting / Forecasting tool in support of Budget / Forecast preparation and submission

Assist in the preparation of Senior Management presentations of financial results.

Perform various ad-hoc assignments, tasks and projects as assigned by the Finance Management team.

Manage the SBS Branches Forecasting process including consolidation / distribution of results and explanation of variance. Maintain Forecasting Model and integrity of the financial numbers.

Develop and distribute key reporting for Internal / External Customers such as SBS Inventory Turn Report, SG&A Expense Trend, SBS GP Analysis, and PWC YOY P&L Change Analysis.

Develop accurate, timely and comprehensive financial reports via BW and Onestream to facilitate SBS / BPM decisions.

Collaborate with and interface with corporate accounting groups with the goal to enhance and streamline daily tasks by leveraging SAP, BW, and Onestream.

Serve as a liaison between SBS and FP&A, critical to ensuring companywide success.

Leverage expert level MS Excel skills to effectively manage complex Ad-HOC requests from Manager and SBS Group.

Work closely with SBS BPMs fielding questions and creating AD-HOC reports and analyses upon requests.

Qualifications:
B.S. Degree in Accounting or Finance

CPA or MBA preferred

3-5 years of related work experience

Strong PC skills in Windows-based environment. Working knowledge of the following software packages: Hyperion, Business Warehouse, MS PowerPoint

Strong MS Excel experience required. {Test will be given.}

SAP experience preferred

Strong knowledge of operational and financial processes and practical application of financial and strategic analysis

Strong interpersonal and analytical skills required.
