We’re on the lookout for a Business Analyst (non-IT) to join our team.
What does the role involve?
In this role, you will support the development and delivery of our Network Transformation & Lean Operations Strategy – to improve service for our customers and enhance the safety and efficiency of our operational network. You will be assessing business problems and opportunities, and using data to provide insights that will drive decision making on future network investment and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential to this role is the ability to break down complex problems and communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences. Ideally you will have a strong strategic thinking and analytical mindset for provlem solving.
Some of your day-day responsibilities will include:
Supporting program and project work streams including strategy development, detailed analysis, planning and reporting on projects
Working closely with our Network Planning and Lean teams on process mapping and identification of network capacity gaps or improvement opportunities
Engaging with multiple stakeholders across various levels of the organisation to drive strategic decision making and outcomes
Addressing network strategic issues such as site capacity planning and understanding network investment requirements
Analysing data and delivering key insights that will drive network decision making by gathering inputs from a wide range of sources (e.g. financial data, volume growth trends, site capacity, lease expiries)
Forecasting outcomes of proposed network changes such as service uplift, cost efficiency and/or safety improvements
What are we looking for?
Tertiary qualifications in Business, Supply Chain, Economics or a related discipline
Previous experience within an organisation similar to Australia Post in size and complexity
Highly developed analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills
Demonstrated ability to quickly understand unfamiliar concepts and environments (e.g. processes, systems) – ideally within a supply chain (or similar) environment
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Demonstrated experience in data visualisation (experience using Tableau or similar an advantage)
Strategy and/or insights experience an advantage
Experience with basic financial modelling an advantage
Strong planning and organisation skills, with ability to work to tight deadlines and manage conflicting priorities.
