Job Description

Macro Electronic Trading Business Analyst

As a business analyst in Macro electronic trading technology team you will be responsible for working on multiple prioritized projects to deliver real value to business. You will be responsible for ensuring that the project deliverables fulfill the business’s agreed requirements. This will include analysis & documentation of both functional and non-functional business requirements, process & data modeling, validation of technical deliverables to meet those requirements and strategy to test code developed. This role is part of a Global Team working closely with Macro Trading desks as the main user base. This is a terrific opportunity for a high energy individual seeking broad exposure to the business. The roles will have significant interaction with the Front Office Business and support teams.

Throughout a project the Business Analyst is also responsible for:

Identifying user’s needs by building relationships with them

Capture of business requirements and use cases (including screen designs)

Driving requirements through user due diligence and sign off

Document detailed analysis in JIRA (epics and deliverables) at the level that can be understood by engineering team

Partner with engineering team to ensure requirements are implemented as per specification

Establishing test strategy and test cases as we all as perform testing

Ensuring all risks and issues relating to scope and analysis managed appropriately.

Ensuring that all re-usable resources and knowledge are stored in the appropriate knowledge base for the benefit of others in the team. This will include items that are not necessarily linked to any single project.

Troubleshooting of issues including working with Level 1 + 2 support teams and business users

Qualifications

Demonstrable experience of Front Office Business Analysis experience

Must have worked on solution design through client problem statements and not just requirements notation.

Experience on global projects including facilitation of workshops with remote participants and rationalization of regional requirements.

Ability to translate effectively between clients and engineers

Innovative problem solving skills

Excellent documentation skills

Organized

Able to challenge requirements to improve them

Detail Focused

Have an open attitude towards sharing ideas and knowledge.

A proactive approach to problem solving, taking ownership of issues and having the determination to follow things through.

Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills, including facilitation, presentation and production of documentation appropriate to an audience.

The ability to shift perspective from high level ‘Big Picture’ to low-level detail.

Good prioritization and time management.

The ability to present and absorb complex ideas quickly and accurately.

The ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Business knowledge of Macro products is a plus
