Business Strategist, Financial Services Job at Traction on Demand – in Vancouver, BC

As a Business Strategist you will be working with our Financial Services customers to create roadmaps and strategy related to digital transformation on the Salesforce platform.

As a senior member of Traction’s Strategy & Success team, you will be responsible for driving clients through the creation or innovation of their digital strategy, to address customer experience and operational challenges. You will lead the team and client in the design of future state operating models and experiences to drive business outcomes.

The Business Strategist plays a lead role within strategic engagements, aligning efforts and providing direction for both the Traction and client teams. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary team members to define our client’s business objectives and design their desired future state. Your work will bridge the gap between organization and department strategy and the technology that enables it.

Tractionites come from a variety of backgrounds, and we are eager to find people that are from non-traditional backgrounds. Typically, we find that people are successful in this role when they have:

Minimum 7+ years of experience in Business Management, Strategy, Technology, or Transformation consulting, in at least a senior consultant level, or senior leader within a business.

Track record within the Financial Services industry, in one or more of our sub-verticals – retail and commercial banking, insurance, wealth and asset management, venture capital/private equity and fintech, in roles related to leading the creation and implementation of digital strategy, and/or Business and IT Transformation.

Experience leading the design of innovative future state business models, experiences, processes, and technology across any of the following business functions is an asset:

Revenue Operations

Sales and Marketing

Channel/Partner Sales

Customer Service / Support

Strong background in business strategy definition and business process redesign, with identification of technology enablers.

Ability to lead client facing workshops, particular strengths in Human-Centric / Customer Experience design principles are an asset.

Experience building strong executive relationships.

Strong collaboration and team building skills, with ability to work with all levels and roles of an organization effectively.

Strong consulting and interpersonal skills; including excellent written and verbal communication skills, effective presentation skills with the ability to adapt to a wide range of audiences.

Ability to travel to clients (when travel is appropriate and approved).

What You Will Be Doing

Leading and facilitating strategy engagements with clients to execute on the deliverables of Traction’s Digital Impact (Strategic Roadmapping) Framework

Work with Success Architects, Change Consultants, Technical Architects, wider Delivery squads and other groups across Traction to ensure successful project delivery.

Bring your Financial Services industry experience to partner with the Principal Strategists and Practice Lead in developing frameworks and products tailored to specific industry needs.

Assist with sales presentations to support our sales teams to identify client needs, and closely align our services and structure of delivery proposals.
