Chief Finance Officer Job at Shippit – in Sydney NSW
We are looking for an experienced and value driven CFO to join our team. The CFO will provide us with strategic and financial leadership, enable the achievement of financial objectives, and oversee all financial and accounting operations to maximise and grow our assets.
What will you do?
Own all aspects of accounting operations and FP&A including financial reporting, forecasts, planning, budgeting, financial analysis, cash management, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, procurement and risk management
Continuously monitor and develop the performance of the organisation as a whole, and take corrective action where and when required
Develop timely operational and financial reporting tools that hold the business leaders accountable for their KPI’s
Review, enhance and ensure application of appropriate internal controls, approval processes, compliance and financial procedures.
Maintain records of the company and partner with external audit and tax advisors to comply with regulations.
Perform risk management and manage capital structure and fundraising initiatives
Define metrics that drive performance – assist the Co-founders develop, articulate and deliver the strategic agenda
Develop and implement ROI based decision making
Drive organic growth e.g. new product & market expansion
Support M&A opportunities, including negotiation, due diligence, execution and post-acquisition integration activities
Identify, develop and execute commercial analysis of business initiatives and/or new service offerings
Ability to scale a finance function quickly
Inspire, lead, motivate and grow a high-performing team
Be an exceptional leader that role models our values and delivers results
What are we looking for?
Experience in a financial leadership position at a high-growth technology company.
An MBA or CA/CPA with at least 10 years experience in Finance
Public company financial management and reporting experience is a must.
Prior experience in subscription or SAAS-based business models will be highly regarded.
