Evolv, Inc., a 24-year-old company located in Newburgh, Indiana, is a credit card processing company that is currently seeking a Chief Financial Officer. Our industry is dynamic and fast-paced. This position requires a candidate who has a commitment to learning and is interested in expanding professional, industry, and technical knowledge.

Required Duties and Responsibilities:

Manages 4 accounting department employees.
Prepare monthly and annual financial statements.
Prepare Pro-forma financial statements.
Monitor general ledger activity to ensure accurate reporting.

Oversee daily and monthly activities of the accounting staff.
Review accounts payable invoices and verifies that payments are processed in a timely manner.
Review sales commission calculations and ensure payments are made timely.
Review reconciliation of all company bank accounts.
Review and analyze general ledger account balances.
Review accounts receivable and analyzes the status of open invoices.

Complete ad-hoc analysis for various department leaders and managers.

Assist with maintaining inventory records.
Prepare payroll for processing. Review proper time entry for salary and hourly employees and reconcile PTO and vacation time.
Oversee human resource responsibilities, including maintenance of employee records and processing of health insurance, administering 401(k), pay changes, onboarding, I-9 verification, and terminations.
Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales tax returns.
Prepare regulatory forms and submissions, such as 1099 forms, various business reports, worker’s comp, audits, and census reports.
Oversee annual record rotation and retention of department documents.
Participate in management meetings, advise, and recommend changes in expectations and other concerns.
Verify that all fixed asset additions/disposals have been posted to the general ledger.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

Certified Public Accountant preferred.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.

Work Experience:

7 years of experience required.
10 years of experience preferred.
5 years of leadership or management experience is preferred.
