Job Summary
Finance/Accounting Responsibilities

Oversees all daily cash receipt and disbursement functions, reviews daily reconciliations and ensures timely recording of transactions.
Ensures accurate and timely completion of payroll including taxes, insurance, and other benefits for all union and non-union employees. Responsible for all monthly/quarterly/annual payroll tax reporting.
Directs the treasury, budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, and real estate activities.
Monitor cash position, investments, and overall financial condition of all MDI companies.
Recommend strategies for growth to increase company resources while limiting expenditures/minimizing risk.
Prepares pro forma financial scenarios for future MDI projects.

Non-Financial Responsibilities

Represents MDI to clients and potential clients at the request of the President.
Creates Personnel Policy Manual.
Establishes employee annual evaluation process and creates and maintains employee files.
Assists in hiring process of all employees.
Supervise and evaluate department personnel.
Provides guidance and supervision to internal technology for day-to-day issues as well as any outsourced functions.
Ensure the effective management of MDI and promotes open communication.
Liaise with outside financial institutions, investment representatives, insurance carriers, government agencies responsible for employment regulations, and any other third parties.
At the request of the President, attends out of town meeting representing MDI.

Required Experience:
About YOU!

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Demonstrated leadership ability and effective interpersonal skills.
Excellent analytical, reasoning, forward thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Strong Microsoft Office & accounting software skills.
