About Business Analytics
The team ensures that the data collected at Cabrini is accurate and complete. It then presents the data in a way that is meaningful to clinicians and managers to assist them understand the implications and take steps to enhance the value and quality of the care we provide.
About the role
This role provides insights and reports on the various facets of clinical costing from revenue tracking by procedure to cost identification and allocation through to presentation of performance and trends.
The role works within the Business Analytics team and has responsibility for a range of reporting and analytic functions:
Provide advice to management on the financial contribution of various patients, procedures, specialist and service locations.
Maintain the clinical costing platform to capture and allocate costs in line with Cabrini agreed cost allocation models.
Ensure accurate and timely reports are available on clinical costs
Document Cabrini costing model assumptions and methodology
Adherence to the Cabrini codes of professional conduct, codes of ethics, standards of practice and competencies, Mission, Values and Vision and the Behaviours that Matter.
You will be a self-managed and driven individual with at least three years’ experience in Clinical Costing, preferable in a private hospital environment. You will also have:
Graduate level or higher degree in Accounting or Business Analytics or similar discipline
Experience in the implementation of clinical costing applications with a preference of PPM and Idiom
Knowledge of Business Intelligence and data interpretation
Understanding of health data structure such as DRG, diagnostic and procedure coding in Australia
Familiarity with Qlikview or other Business Intelligence software
