As the Commercial Analyst, your role is to provide strategic business analysis services to key stakeholders within our core business. Critical to this role will be your ability to identify opportunities to improve revenue, margin, costs, and efficiencies, and make recommendations that will enhance business performance. This position requires you to have strong commercial business acumen to address operational, financial, and technological risks, and the ability to identify new market opportunities. Based on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Birtinya in a Permanent Fulltime capacity, you will be joining a Global Business that is on an exciting growth trajectory
Research, identify and analyse opportunities within select potential business markets, develop, and test hypotheses through data capture, and make recommendations
Identify, create and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and system process analysis, focusing on quality improvement and data management
Develop and set-up standardised reporting and ensure data is reliable and valid
Effectively engage with stakeholders to identify issues, risks and benefits of existing and proposed solutions, and develop recommendations to meet long term business strategies
Develop and maintain up-to-date industry knowledge, customer needs and strategies, and apply this to the development of advice and guidance to others in the application of best practice and business growth.
Data driven demand planning & demand forecast management
Maintain and co-ordinate sales scorecard
Provide commentary on weekly trading revenue meetings by customer, channel, market, cattle type/brand, cut
Revenue optimisation (cut plan/ sold/availability)
Manage the customer returns process that impacts gross revenue. Identify process and control gaps to reduce customer returns and include appropriate sign-off procedures within Sales
Provide Sales team with forecast – production demand gap analysis
Provide Sales team with revenue Vs operational capacities, through analysis or optimal processing options on quarterly basis, inclusive of trimmings & co-products
Awareness across global drivers influencing proteins
Involvement in developing predictive total revenue forecasting and selling tools
2+ years in a similar role as a Finance/Business/Revenue or Commercial Sales Analyst within manufacturing or FMCG industries
Strong relationship building skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to manage and analyse in a manufacturing environment
Relevant and current knowledge of the meat industry or other proteins
Active listening and negotiation skills with focus on quality and timely decision making and follow up
Discipline and motivation to work autonomously with support of the wider revenue team
Advanced computer skills with experience in data reporting platforms
