Our Team

The Compliance function is a diverse and collaborative team of professionals providing real-time advice and support on regulatory matters across all lines of business and functions. The Central Compliance team provides expertise for specific compliance matters impacting the breadth of our country footprint. We are also responsible for the ongoing enhancement and execution of the overall ANZ Compliance plan. We are a dynamic team, which looks to continually innovate and drive change. The position will report to the Head of Central Compliance and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with a wide group of compliance colleagues, as well have exposure to business management, legal, risk and control functions.

Your Role Responsibilities

Managing licensing and registration related matters;

Evaluating compliance with relevant regulations, identifying issues and assessing the impact of regulatory change;

Oversight of compliance with APRA Prudential Standards and associated control framework;

Assisting with the preparation of regulatory submissions, inspection decks and notifications;

Co-ordinating the development and review of Compliance policies and procedures in light of regulatory developments;

Co-ordinating the Compliance Monitoring Plan, and performing compliance testing of controls to ensure effectiveness;

Production of governance committee decks and board reports;

Participation in Compliance initiatives and projects to strengthen the Compliance Program; and

Contributing to process and working efficiencies, including the use of data analytical tools.

Your Skills and Experience

Degree qualified with a preference for a finance, accounting and/or legal discipline;

Minimum two years experience within a financial institution, law firm or accounting firm;

Some knowledge or experience of local regulatory requirements and their practical application is desirable but not essential;

Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and strong partnerships and work cohesively in a team environment;

Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills and the ability to manage several simultaneous projects; and

Fluency and operational ability with PowerPoint, Excel, Tableau and other data management and visualization tools desirable.
