Position Overview

Financial Controller for our Italian entity.

As financial controller for the Italian entity, you have end-responsibility for all month-end, quarter-end and year end closings according to US GAAP and furthermore for the statutory reporting according to Italian GAAP. A good understanding of all business processes is key in order to be able to evaluate the correctness of the balance sheet in general. Keeping contact to different stakeholders of the business and within corporate is a must to be able to keep track of the development of the company (spider in the web). You are a key contact person for many people in order to help with interdisciplinary processes.

Job Responsibilities

Overall Balance Sheet ownership;

Support monthly closing under US GAAP, including various monthly/quarterly reporting;

Liaise with and support of local German Finance team and site leadership;

Prepare annual statutory accounts local GAAP; liaise with external auditor

Responsible overall compliance for entity;

Liaise with Tax department and Tax advisors; Support Corporate Income Tax returns, VAT compliance and other Tax related returns

Account reconciliations & analysis;

Participation in project groups

Ascertains compliance with Internal Accounting Policies & Procedures

Minimum Qualifications

Academic Degree in Accounting;

Min 6 – 10 years of relevant experience in Financial Control (Manufacturing background and working in an international environment/ chemical industry is a plus);

USGAAP and Italian GAAP know-how a plus;

Knowledge about taxes (i.e. CIT/VAT)

SAP experience is a requirement;

Good interpersonal and problem solving skills;

Pro-active attitude, pragmatic, team player

Multi-Language: English a must, preferably Italian native.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior chemical manufacturing experience with multi-national company;

SAP & Blackline experience
