Credit Controller

The Company:

Lanarkshire Credit Union is a community financial institution serving the members of Lanarkshire. LCU is seeking to recruit a reliable and conscientious individual to join our team as it services the needs of our ever growing membership.

The Role:

– Member interaction and escalation management

– Reducing late payments and bad debt

– Relationship building with team members

– Reporting and monitoring of arrears

– Liaising with our legal team for the escalation of cases

– Ad hoc duties

The Person:

– Excellent organisational skills

– Member focused with confidence to communicate at all levels both internal and external

– The ability to adapt to various roles and functions

– To be able to work well under pressure using initiative when required

– Warm and confident manner when dealing with members

Essential:

– Must be Microsoft Office proficient

– Comfortable working in a fast-paced working environment in a diligent manner

Desirable:

– Experience of working in a fast-paced customer focused environment

– Experience of working in a financial institution

– Knowledge of third sector and credit union environments

*May be required to travel to other office locations depending on the needs of the business.

After completion of probationary period, hours may increase to full time, 35 hours
