Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s Consumer

Risk Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Credit

Risk Analyst, Loss Forecasting.

The primary

responsibility of this role is to manage allowance for credit loss (ACL)

forecasting process based on IFRS and CECL accounting standards for both the

consumer and dealer portfolios.

Reporting to the Credit

Risk Sr. Manager, this position is responsible for completing the quarterly

credit loss forecast for the consumer and dealer portfolios. A successful

candidate will be proficient working with 100M+ record data sets in an EDW

environment, able to effectively communicate with Data Science on topics

related to the loss forecasting models, and experienced developing and

executing complex controls procedures to ensure the accuracy of results.

What you’ll be doing

Lead

execution and validation of unit and dollar attrition curve models (e.g. FAS91,

FAS157)

Develop,

execute, and enhance controls and validation processes to ensure forecast

accuracy – automate controls wherever possible

Summarize

forecast results, identify key drivers of trends and changes

Deep

dive portfolio trends to determine the root cause of changes in performance,

unexpected results, etc

Collaborate

with Accounting, Business Intelligence, Compliance, Data Science, Debt

Management Finance, and Sales on various activities impacting key performance

metrics to ensure a holistic view of the portfolio performance and forecasts

What you bring

Bachelor’s degree (or higher) from an accredited university

Demonstrated experience with credit loss forecasting models (preferably based on IFRS and CECL accounting standards)

Understanding of applied mathematics and statistics concepts relevant to credit loss forecasting

Demonstrated experience executing controls and validation processes for critical business processes with large financial impact

Strong communication skills

Proficiency manipulating large data sets using SQL and/or SAS

Demonstrated experience with data visualization solutions (Tableau, PowerBI, Cognos, etc.)

Added bonus if you have

Ability to credibly present findings & deficiencies to auditors and senior management as the subject matter expert

Ability to distill complex topics into summaries and stories that are clear to a non-technical audience

Ability to develop strong partnerships and influence people
