This position is located at our corporate office in London, United Kingdom.
This is a newly created position to help support the growth of the Aman Retail and Lifestyle Brand. The ideal candidate will come from a Retail background that enjoys being in a fast paced / start up environment. The roles’ primary role is to provide financial support and direction, through information analyses (e.g. current processes, actual performance vs. budget and prior year, budget, etc.), preparation of operational data/analyses for publication to various constituents throughout the organisation. Primary responsibilities will include assisting the finance team in the Monthly Operations Review, setting up new systems, implementation of new technologies, identification of areas for cost reductions and operational improvements, annual budget process, periodic forecasting, and periodic analysis of operations performance.

Supports with business processes and financial management
Maintains accounting system
Leads planning and forecasting activities with business partners to achieve business and company goals
Prepares and reviews financial reports and analysis and prepares financial forecasts
Monitors financial details to ensure legal compliance
Analyses revenue, expenses, cash flows, and balance sheets
Assists management to make financial decisions
Investigates means to improve profitability
Reviews and processes payments of the company
Maintains an accurate filing and record keeping system for all financial statements and company documents
Participates in the execution of changes to procedures, policies, and systems to support the business
Manager the preparation and publication of departmental and organizational financial documents
Support the roll out of global Finance projects
10+ years’ experience in a comparable role
Degree in Finance or related field
Fluent in English, and further languages desirable
Strong technical accounting knowledge
Excel and modelling
Creating statutory accounts
Ideally relevant experience of AP and AR
Experience running annual audit
Must possess outstanding guest services skills, professional presentation and sophisticated interpersonal skills, be sensitive to cultural nuance
Analytical, creative, strategic, with leadership and teambuilding skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Background in retail is an advantage
