EB Compliance Assistant Job at Alpine Bank – 4.0 in Grand Junction, CO
At the direction of the Electronic Banking (EB) Compliance Operations Manager, the EB Compliance Assistant serves as member of the EB compliance team and provides support in implementing systems and processes to maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and rules governing operation and product offerings for Alpine Bank’s Electronic Banking departments.

Maintains the EB policy and risk assessment database and works closely with department managers and product owners regarding policy and/or risk assessment revisions.
Prepares quarterly compliance reports for distribution to department managers and other stakeholders.
Monitors the Electronic Banking employee training to ensure EB employees are completing required compliance training within designated timeframes.
Conducts monitoring activities of regulatory requirements within the various EB departments.
Monitors the Alpine Bank complaint log and works with applicable stakeholders to achieve a final resolution of the complaint.
Manages files and documentation, and performs special projects as directed.
Completes all required regulatory compliance training as assigned, with a satisfactory result score.
Complies with all federal, state and local regulatory rules and regulations governing financial institutions, as well as company policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Participates in project meetings as directed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
Detail-oriented with proven experience in time management and meeting deadlines while exerting a willingness to learn and understand Alpine Bank’s policies and procedures, and state, and federal regulations and laws.
Self-motivated and willing to work as a team or alone as necessary.
Professional and excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Possess sound decision making ability and understanding of risk.
Proficient with computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
Education or Formal Training:
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) equivalency required.
An Associate Degree or higher is preferred.
Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Colorado Driver’s License is required.
Knowledge of Jack Henry banking systems, electronic banking services and regulatory compliance is a plus.
Two years of relevant experience with a financial services industry, specifically relating to consumer compliance and/or prior exposure to compliance program requirements is preferred.
This position is performed in a professional office environment during normal business hours. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers. Occasional travel may be required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Employee also may have to lift up to 25 pounds.
