Reinvest Program Description:Reinvest, a program for professionals ready to relaunch their careers after time away, is designed to ease your return to the workforce with resources, guidance and support that will drive your success. In some ways, Reinvest is like an internship for experienced professionals. Once you successfully complete our 12-week program, you could transition into a full-time role at our firm.

Designed for those with at least five years of work history in their chosen field, Reinvest is open to candidates who have taken a current career break of two or more years and are adept at prioritizing and quickly adapting to new challenges and concepts.

The 12-week program begins with a structured orientation and introduction process led by Raymond James subject matter experts. This gives you the opportunity to network with peers and firm leadership while expanding your skills and knowledge.

Program Dates:The program will operate from mid-September through early December.

Job Summary:Uses extensive knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to prepare financial statements and other financial analysis reports for business units and to analyze and reconcile all general ledger accounts. Evaluation, originality and ingenuity are required to locate, select and apply appropriate procedures, processes and techniques to specific assignments. Resolves or recommends solutions to complex problems. Regular contact with senior management and other internal customers is required to identify, research, and resolve accounting issues and problems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Uses general ledger accounting software to prepare monthly financial statements, budgets and reports.

Reconciles general ledger accounts, prepares analyses and completes other monthly general ledger closing procedures.

Analyzes general ledger accounts to identify unusual or irregular transactions and makes recommendations to resolve.

Prepares/ reviews reports of financial information for management.

Prepares reports of financial information for management.

Responds to internal/external auditor issues and problems.

Researches issues regarding application of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to allocating costs and preparing financial statements.

Identifies and recommends process improvements to increase efficiency in processing or analyzing financial information.

Resolves complex accounting problems.

Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of:

Advanced accounting concepts, practices and procedures.

Accounting software packages.

Generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Skill in:

Reviewing, interpreting and analyzing financial statements.

Resolving unusual transaction and accounting discrepancies.

Preparing financial statements and management reports.

Researching GAAP issues.

Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication, spreadsheets and complex databases.

Ability to:

Implement changes to standard procedures when required by specific situations and circumstances.

Make independent decisions and solve accounting problems.
