Finance Analyst

Job Purpose

A finance analyst is responsible for a wide range of activities including gathering data, organizing information, analyzing historical results, making forecasts and projections, making recommendations, and generating models, presentations, and reports. Finance analysts track a company’s financial performance against a plan, analyzing business performance and market conditions to create forecasts, and helping senior management make tactical and strategic decisions by providing periodic reports. The analyst will drive analyses pertaining to (i) revenue, (ii) operating expenses, (iii) cash flows, and (iv) balance sheet accounts.

Key Position Responsibilities

Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to senior management.

Produce monthly reports, which include key metrics, financial results, and variance reporting that aids in decision making.

Develop project financial modeling and financial tracking against targets.

Ability to manipulate and condense large volumes of data into succinct and powerful visualizations.

Clearly convey the key insights the data reveals in a visual format that easily understood.

Collaborate with end users to interpret data results and analyze potential impact to the business.

Promote winning culture through focus on corporate values and productive partnerships within department and across all other business functions.

Maintain data repositories for executive reporting.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar field

Proficiency with ERP financial processes, spreadsheets or business intelligence software should be at an intermediate level

Strong visualization skills (Powerpoint, Power BI, Modano, etc…)

Must be a self-starter with demonstrated skills in meeting deadlines

Solid finance acumen with basic skills in understanding financial statements and executing business analytics to identify variances and trends

Effective with communication and working in a team environment
