Programme Finance Analyst – Band 5

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a finance analyst to join our team working within the Gloucestershire NHS. The opportunity would suit a candidate interested in training towards their career as an accountant.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated in developing their career, their range of financial analytical skills and their organisational skills. The right candidate will benefit from support and the opportunity to develop their professional skills, ability and qualifications.

You will be able to build strong and effective relationships to support the delivery of our programme of work developing health care services as we move forward from a CCG to an Integrated Care Board. This role will automatically continue into the Integrated Care Board from July 2022 and as a result this opportunity will provide the successful candidate with very wide, varied and interesting areas of work they will be able to contribute their skills towards.

You will be a confident communicator and will support in the delivery of financial project support helping enable projects to progress successfully. The successful candidate will support provision of comparative benchmarking information to programme leads enabling them to plan and develop their projects effectively.

You will support the monitoring and reporting of financial performance of a range of key programmes, including supporting development of evaluation process for specific projects.

You will work with other enthusiastic professionals from Clinical, financial and Service Management backgrounds in development of service improvement and change programmes.

You will have strong analytical skills and you will work closely with our business intelligence analysts, often using large quantities of data, to arrive at key findings to evidence your financial advice and support recommendations whilst working on a range of challenging and varied projects.

The post will be based in Sanger House, Gloucestershire. The CCG offers flexibility, with a high proportion of remote working possible.
