Job Description

We are looking for a self-starter, strategic business analyst to provide key finance support to Condé Nast Entertainment (CNÉ). This role will partner with CNÉ department heads to ensure the achievement of CNÉ’s long-term financial goals. Condé Nast Entertainment is an independent team that creates high- quality video programming experiences for viewers everywhere across every screen. Primary Responsibilities:
Analyze and explain actual versus budget and/or forecast variances for financial and operational information

Create and distribute monthly departmental reports for department heads to track performance against budget

Assist with creating and updating Forecasts, Budget, and Long Range Plan

Partner with corporate accounting during month-end close to ensure timely and accurate financial results. Includes oversight of close as well as accruals.

Code & route department invoices for manager approval and accounts payable processing

Review monthly general ledger to ensure correct allocations/coding of expenses

Work closely with Revenue Operations Analyst and Production Accountant to ensure revenue and costs are being recorded accurately by department, brand, and project

Update database to manage and track TV and Film options payments and expenses

Special projects and ad hoc analysis as required by management

Desired Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Strong quantitative/analytical skills

Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

Organized, detail-oriented, proactive, able to multi-task and manage multiple concurrent responsibilities and requests

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills – the ability to work with teams internally and externally.

Ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Knowledge in Financial Systems preferred (Essbase, Workday, Oracle)

Digital experience preferred
