Finance Assistant – Inside IR35

Contract Term: 3 Months Possible Extension

Contracting Authority: The Office for Environmental Protection (OEP)

Location: Remote (Occasional office attendance may be required – Worcester)

As a Finance Assistant your main responsibilities would be:
Monitor and manage the finance mailbox.

Bookkeeping as necessary in the accounting system, Sage 200.

Preparing bi-monthly pay runs.

Carrying out bank reconciliations and other balance sheet reconciliations as necessary.

Updating the accruals and prepayments schedules.

Assisting with Payroll.

Monitoring staff expenses and ensuring they are in line with the OEP policy.

Assisting with forecasting and monthly management reporting.

Any other activity that the Head of Finance and Corporate Services or the Principal Finance Officer may reasonably require the postholder to carryout.

You’ll have relevant experience in:
Experience of working in a finance role and in bookkeeping – around 3 years

You will be ready and able to take the initiative, work independently where required,

Well organised, delivery-focused and an effective forward-planner.

Any rates of payment quoted will reflect the gross rate per day for the assignment and will be subject to appropriate taxes and statutory costs. As such the payment to the intermediary and your income resulting from this contract will be different.

Please be aware that this role can only be worked within the UK and not Overseas.
