Finance Assistant Job at Napthens – in Preston

Full time – Preston Office to include agile working

Are you looking to begin your career in a legal finance team, where you can flourish and gain some great experience?

The main purpose of this role to provide general administration support to the Finance Team. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the core support functions of the business, ensuring efficient financial support is delivered across the firm.

Your role will include:

Logging all incoming cheques on the cheque register and posting to the accounts system on a daily basis

Dealing with the cheque registers from all offices

Processing write offs received through the helpdesk

Processing monies coming into the bank account via posting slips and chasing these up, where required

Cheque printing

Keeping an orderly filing system

Providing the team with support, carrying out administrative duties

Petty cash reconciliations

Archiving Duties

Ad Hoc duties as required

You will have:

An ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure

Effective time management skills

Excellent customer service ethos

An ability to work effectively as part of a team

An ability to resolve queries efficiently and to communicate in a professional and friendly manner

AAT Level 2 or Level 3 (desirable)
