We are seeking a highly motivated Finance Business Partner to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for providing business planning, budgeting and forecasting to your assigned Business Units. This involves assisting with the Business Units’ commercial decision-making process by regularly reporting actuals against budget and forecast, translating key financial insights into easy-to-understand concepts for non-financial professionals and assisting in developing insights and solutions to business cases or organisational problems
You will ensure accurate and timely decision making and support leaders in their understanding and adherence to targets. You will also provide insights to support management decision making and the delivery of the University’s strategic plan.
This position is full time fixed term and will be located at the Callaghan Campus (Awabakal and Worimi land)

About the Unit
Financial Services aims to be an enabler of strategy through providing high-quality financial services and products that respond to the changing needs of the business and financial governance; and provide tangible and measurable value to the University. Financial Services covers Corporate Accounting and Treasury, Financial Planning and Reporting, Finance Business Support & Advisory, and Procure to Pay.
What we offer
The remuneration for this position is from $102,667 – $119,778 p.a. plus 17% superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.

A degree in accounting/business or equivalent.
Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Demonstrated outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships with key stakeholders at all levels – including an ability to communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
Minimum 5 years financial business partnering experience.
Proven ability to provide strategic support to Leaders within complex organisation structures.
