About the job

The goal of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) is to create financial insights that make Google better by unpacking complex business problems to reveal opportunities, manage risk, and guide scarce resources. Our team applies this mission to Android in coordination with the cross-finance and cross-functional teams.

Finance Leads ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. Your work, whether it’s leading agreements, modeling business scenarios, or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make critical investment decisions. You are working on multiple projects at a time, focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges and bringing recommendations to light.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in Google’s Platform and Systems team, working day-to-day with business leaders and helping devise and optimize strategies in the Android Mobile space.

The name Google came from “googol,” a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

Responsibilities

Provide leaders with clear, executive-ready insights into Android Mobile performance.

Work cross-functionally to develop risk-balanced investment strategies and portfolio views, shaped by analytics. Serve as the finance voice for partner agreements and between cross-finance teams and business partners.

Command large datasets to build robust, easy-to-understand financial models with multiple scenarios for evaluating decisions. Create dashboards and reports to track performance and proactively guide leadership.

Evaluate the efficacy of initiatives relative to forecast models and own communications on key learnings.

Mentor members of the team to enable their success in analytics and executive presentations.
