Finance Manager Job at Expedia Group – 3.9 in Seattle, WA
What you’ll do:
Manage and mentor a financial analyst on the team, including 1,400+ headcount and $300M+ of spend
Serve as primary finance partner to the Lodging Product & Tech and CX teams
Lead the quarterly forecast cycle for teams supported with an emphasis on timely, accurate forecasts
Influence decision-making to ensure business partners meet the financial objectives of the Product & Tech organization
Develop, own, and present monthly analysis covering financial metrics, including performance against stated objectives
Perform ad-hoc analyses in a timely and insightful manner
Identify and promote efforts to drive overhead expense optimization
Partner with finance teams throughout Expedia Group to standardize methodologies and streamline processes
Who you are:
BA/BS degree in finance or other analytical field required
6+ years demonstrated ability in FP&A or similar roles
Proven capability to succinctly synthesize findings
Curious, independent, and proactive problem solver
Strong attention to detail & comfort in being a subject matter specialist
Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work cross functionally and with all levels of management
A teammate who enjoys mentoring others and contributing in a broad range of ways to ensure the success of the team
Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
Results oriented individual with a high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Oracle, Hyperion, and Essbase experience strongly desired
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Travel, E-commerce and Online Marketing Industry experience preferred
