Finance Manager Job at FactSet Research Systems – in Frankfurt am Main
The Frankfurt-based finance team is responsible for managing the financial operations for several entities with the largest being FactSet GmbH. This role will be responsible for managing a team of five direct reports and includes overseeing end-to-end finance operations, financial planning and analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, looking to make improvements to procedures and controls, as well as ad-hoc projects and requests as and when they come up.
The Finance Manager will be working with all levels of management within the Frankfurt office and throughout Europe and USA. The ability to interact with senior leaders, such as the CFO, Head of Sales and Directors of Product Development will be critical to the success of this candidate.

Drive the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices.
Review monthly accruals, prepayments and similar accounting entries.
Partner with FP&A for budgeting and forecasting.
Leading the analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers and presenting findings to the International Finance Director and US Corporate team.
Managing an end-to-end audit process of current systems – while acting as the first point of contact for external auditors.
Continually identify risks to delivery, propose solutions where necessary and effectively manage stakeholder expectations throughout.
Dealing with working capital management and production of cash flow forecasts.
Leading the team responsible for transactional processes.
University degree with profound knowledge of accounting (HGB, US GAAP)
At least 5 years of professional experience
Strong understanding of accounting rules and regulations within Europe
German statutory and tax knowledge
Experience working for a multi-national company
Ability to manage and support a team
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Experience with multi-currency accounting
Ability to build relationships at all levels
Strong verbal and written communication skill
Previous financial market experience would be an advantage
Strong German and English language skills
