Finance Manager Job at Citizens – 3.4 in Florida
As a Finance Manager on the Mortgage Finance team, this role helps provide support for the financial oversight within Citizens.
Primary responsibilities include:
Analyze financial data, maintain and create financial models to support mortgage including Mortgage Servicing Rights (MSRs). This includes P&L reporting and forecasting.
Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements. Back-test financial performance by evaluating performance against expectations and against control groups.
Take lead on month-end close processes for servicing fee estimation and variance analysis.
Provide oversight of quarterly mortgage IR materials
Develop and enhance peer level analysis
Perform ad hoc analysis and research projects to enhance team understanding of complex financial and accounting processes, validate assumptions used for estimation and forecasting, estimate and track impacts of scenarios and pricing campaigns, etc.
Partner with team to further develop and refine sub-components of main forecasting tools and models.
Monitor existing reports and tools as well as build new tools to inform assumptions used in forecast and profitability models.
Develop executive reporting for program-level financial reviews.
Occasionally present and discuss actuals and forecasts with business unit leaders.
Engage in discussions with leadership on strategy and assumptions flowing into forecasting tools.
Identify and drive process improvements, including improvement in management / organization of metric data, creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools and dashboards. Collaborate with business partners and helping to coordinate processes across the cross-functional team.
Create interactive, reproducible Business Intelligence reports and analyses to provide insights on various business needs.
Back up other team members with day-to-day reporting, updates and maintenance as needed.
Other tasks as needed.
3+ years of experience providing Finance support, preferably in Mortgage Finance or a Financial Services organization
Strong financial analysis foundation creating projections and models
Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication, collaboration and problem solving skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial databases such as Oracle Hyperion Essbase / Smart View.
Proficiency and experience in data, analytics and Business Intelligence including but not limited to: SQL and relational databases, SSAS tabular data models, DAX, Power Pivot, Power BI, advanced Excel functions & pivot tables, statistical methods, etc.
Critical thinking for how best to build report systems, data structures, validations, forecasts, etc. for maximum impact, clarity and efficiency.
Education, Certifications and/or Other Professionals Credentials:
Master’s degree or other financial certifications preferred (MBA, CFA, CPA)
Bachelor’s Degree required
