Finance Business Partner – Healthcare

As Finance Business Partner for the dispensing part of our business you’ll be supporting one of the largest parts of the Boots business at a time of unprecedented change. You’ll bringing insight, challenge and influence across key business decisions and offering a wider business/market perspective. This commercial opportunity naturally engages with business partners across Healthcare ensuring understanding, ownership and alignment of monthly results, financial forecasts, budgets, 3YP and strategic initiatives.

About the opportunity:
You’ll be part of the Healthcare finance team reporting to the Director of Finance for Healthcare. Key responsibilities:

  • Overall financial management on understanding the trends and drivers impacting on performance across Dispensing
  • To hold the Pharmacy leadership team to account to deliver on their in-year financial commitments, budget and 3YP whilst maintaining strong partner relationships
  • Engage with the wider BUK Finance team and demonstrate leadership on ensuring alignment on initiative valuations and reporting methodologies
  • Working with our FP&A and Financial Control teams to ensure rigorous and robust financial planning processes (in year performance, budget, 3YP)
  • Assisting with the Financial approval of business/investment/programme decisions guiding central investment team to produce the appropriate business cases

About you (the candidate and their experience):

  • You will be a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with significant post qualification experience within commercial retail or FMCG roles
  • Self-motivated, able to independently identify areas to target and ability to get things done
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience of financial modelling. Able to work with ambiguity. Brings commercial awareness, identifies practical solutions, able drive performance
  • Strong leadership skills, leading and developing individuals and teams
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building and people leadership skills, in order to inspire, effect change and drive successful processes and performance
  • High energy and resilience, with ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under pressure
