Cox Automotive is seeking a dynamic Financial Analyst to join the Manheim Finance team. This role will be responsible for rate management, financial modeling of business cases, planning/reporting activities, business health assessments, and various ad hoc analyses. Contributions will be felt immediately with business partnership and support, budgeting/planning responsibilities, and key month-end reporting and analysis deliverables. Also, this role directly contributes to the annual target setting process and influences a variety of priority finance projects.
Successful candidates will have a solid understanding of financial modeling, financial statements, variance analysis, volume / rate analysis, and reporting key business drivers. We are a highly visible team, who work together in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role requires a motivated candidate who is comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
Analyze financial performance against established budget, prior year, and competitors
Develop financial models and business cases to support functional business leaders with key business decisions
Have an ability to analyze large amounts of raw data and then repackage, simplify, and determine key takeaways from the results
Assist with the development of management presentations for an executive-level audience resulting from financial analysis and business case analysis
Evaluate business performance by developing reporting tools to ensure the company achieves desired results from key business decisions and initiatives.
Assist with the planning, coordination and development of annual P&L budgets, quarterly forecasts and long-range plans.
Assist with providing recommendations to increase our effective use of our financial systems and tools to meet our analytic and reporting needs
Complete special projects and prepare ad hoc analysis and reports as needed
Provide finance support for various Manheim operational functions
Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent combination of education and work experience in a financial environment required
Generally 3 years of finance experience with a focus in financial planning, financial analysis and/or financial reporting
Experience developing budget/ forecast plans, managing financial planning models, and data analysis
Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout the organization
Must be detail-oriented, organized, and possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply judgment and make decisions under direction of a manager
Must possess high degree of intellectual curiosity with track record of delivered results
Self-starter with flexibility and willingness to balance multiple changing priorities, and work under tight deadlines
Experience in organizing, prioritizing, and coordinating one’s own work
Must possess a high level of proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
Experience with Hyperion Planning and Hyperion Reporting/Essbase is a strong plus
