Financial Analyst Job at Allegro MicroSystems, LLC – 4.1 in Manchester, NH

Allegro MicroSystems’ Finance team is growing and we are seeking a Financial Analyst. This individual will be responsible for a wide variety of planning, forecasting, analytical and reporting responsibilities, are you up for a growing environment in which you can contribute to development of the FP&A team?

You will primarily be responsible for reporting, forecasting and analyzing aspects of departmental operating expenses in the US & international businesses. The candidate will work in a close partnership with select SG&A business partners to deliver accuracy to month and quarter-end closes as well as provide transparency and visibility into their spending.

You will also provide support for process improvements and completing ad-hoc projects in support of FP&A and/or our SG&A stakeholders. As a support function we are looking to partner with other functions to provide consistent, value-added reporting, budgeting/forecasting as well as modeling of various planned and potential activities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform the corporate annual and quarterly forecast cycles for the SG&A functions including department specific budgets and related KPI analysis

Preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results & variances reports

Works closely with the Accounting team on month end activities to ensure accurate accruals and financial reporting

Provides accruals & reclasses at month end for the SG&A departments

Act as a Business Partner with SG&A stakeholder to gain deep insights into their expense structures & future spend

Provides analysis of trends & forecasts and recommends actions for optimization

Aid in the capital budgeting and expenditure planning processes

Leveraging various systems to obtain data, create reports, implement new modelling for Functional Managers and deliver meaningful insights into the business performance

Supports the continuous improvement & expansion of our FP&A tools

Ad-hoc reporting, analysis, and special projects as needed

Education & Experience:
2 – 4+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field, MBA a plus

Solid systems background or desire to learn technical tools (i.e. Oracle/SAP, Adaptive Insights, Tableau, Global Spreadsheet Server) as well as strong fluency in Excel and other MS Office tools

General knowledge of accounting/financial/operational principles

Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with all levels of employees

Experience in a large, complex, global environment a plus but not required

Skills & Abilities:
Highly organized and motivated with the ability to work on multiple tasks while delivering results in a timely manner

Good business acumen especially understanding of international cooperation, Financial consolidation as well as allocations of expenses is a plus

Being a motivated self-starter that is willing to reach out and ask questions

Ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow

Interest and ability to grasp the business quickly

Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills

Team-player who can also work independently
