HMLR aims to become the world’s leading land registry for speed, simplicity and an open approach to data.
HMLR are pleased to offer an exciting permanent opportunity for a Financial Analyst, where you will join a dynamic team who are setting a high bar for finance business partnering, across the Civil Service. This will be a critical role in HMLR supporting both the finance business partnering and wider finance function.
As Financial Analyst, you will report into a Finance Business Partner, delivering high quality financial analytic support to the finance business partnering team and wider organisation, supporting effective business decision making and strong financial management and planning. The successful candidate will enjoy building and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders, at all levels, across the organisation.
Alongside all of the great civil service benefits, HMLR is investing in systems to become a world class land registry. Finance and the corporate back office have and continue to invest to support this aim and so there will be a real opportunity to be actively involved in building the future of the finance function in HMLR.
You will be assigned to a contractual ‘home’ office, but we believe that a blended approach to where you work – with some time in the office and some time at home – may give you an improved experience and has clear business benefits to us. Whilst there may be some activities for which attending the office is required, you are likely to have some input and choice as to when you will work on site versus from home, within the context of meeting business and customer needs.
You will provide professional financial advice, finance-related analysis and support to budget managers and the wider finance community, ensuring financial issues are resolved and governance processes are followed.
You will build financial capability in the organisation through coordination, development and delivery of training in Finance governance, constraints and controls, while coaching teams and individuals. Supporting with robust forecasts, transformation business cases and business plans, planning activities and supporting contract managers and the commercial team with contract and tender evaluations, this will be busy and varied role, where you can support the Finance Business Team and wider financial leadership team.
You will design, develop, test and implement improvements to management information for budget managers, using financial modelling systems and tools, supporting evidence based decision making.
There is a minimum requirement of 30 hours per week.
