Amazon is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the WW FP&A activities for Amazon Logistics – our rapidly expanding internal delivery operation, purpose-built to achieve and exceed the delivery quality and speed demands of Amazon customers.
The Financial Analyst will support financial reporting, contribute to our financial planning and analysis efforts. This individual will provide financial oversight, insightful analysis, and decision support in this rapidly evolving space. The successful candidate will have excellent written communication, analytical and financial reporting skills. They will also possess strong partnership skills and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders across multiple geographies. The Finance Manager will also lead long term strategic planning, annual planning, variance analysis for monthly/quarterly business reviews, and ad-hoc projects and analysis as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Partner across Finance and Operations to drive continuous improvement in financial and operational performance
Lead the financial planning and analysis processes, including the short and long range planning, and close processes.
Gather, review, and communicate fact-based insights into variances and trends
Provide support for dive deep analytical projects and executive reviews as needed
Basic Qualifications
BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science)
3+ years of finance experience or a related analytical field
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, Tableau, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
Demonstrated ability to build and manage financial models for business forecasting, variance analysis, and problem solving
An eye towards continuous process improvement, including the ability to innovate and simplify finance and operational processes
