Job SummaryDESCRIPTIONThe Amazon Advertising team seeks a Financial Analyst to join its finance department to support the Campaign and Creative Services team. The FP&A lead role will work closely with leadership in both finance and business teams in creation of business and financial insights, improving processes, and driving controllership. In addition, the role will also have opportunities to work on providing insightful analysis and financial guidance to the business, identifying process and efficiency gaps, driving operational improvements, and delivering free-cash-flow expansion for the Amazon Advertising business.
Key job responsibilities
Support ongoing business operations and drive controllership improvement, this includes owning weekly business review, monthly financial and goal review process
Own the process of quarterly forecast, annual planning and long range planning of the business
Work with the business and finance owners in driving cost savings and efficiency, such as infrastructure cost and report automation
Perform ad-hoc analysis to uncover the new opportunities
A day in the life
Driving WBR, MBR and goals process, working with the BIEs and offshore analytical team on automation. Analyzing infrastructure cost and working with the business owners for reduction
About The Team
Ads is growing fast, and the Campaign & Creatives Services support all Amazon Advertising creative needs, including Sponsored Advertising, Display, Video and Audio. In addition, CCS also manages a number of high impact customer trust programs such as Ad Policy, Ads feedback and moderation. The Financial Analyst role will have opportunities to work closely each of the sub-teams in driving financial planning, controllership, business reviews, process improvement and working on exciting new opportunities.
3+ years of experience in finance or a related analytical field.
3+ years’ of experience in finance or a related analytical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics or Statistics preferred
Possessing strong written and oral communication skills, and a practical, common sense approach to getting things done
Ability to think strategically and execute tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
High degree of organization and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
Working knowledge of SQL, Cognos/TM1 and advanced Excel
Innovative, flexible and self-directed
Proven ability to work and strive in a constantly evolving environment
Experience with statistical analysis, regression modeling and forecasting, demand modeling, time series analysis or data mining is a plus
