We are searching for a talented, bright, and driven Financial Analyst to support our Customs Brokerage business. The customs brokerage team mission is to simplify customs brokerage via technology and a Customer Obsessed team to increase compliance, improve speed, and reduce cost.

At Amazon – finance partners are more than just the team that reports numbers and provides controllership. You will work collaboratively across a matrix organization to define, develop, and implement accounting processes, financial controls and financial system integrations. This position will oversee the Month End Close process, Accounts Receivables and Payables, and be the key point of contact between Finance, Tech teams, Product teams and Operations to ensure the Customs Brokerage has robust financial controls in place and that financial systems are integrated and serve the needs of the business.

Key job responsibilities

Drives and oversees the month end close process

Drives and oversees the accounts receivables and financial controls such as accounts reconciliations and bill to pay processes.

Uses financial systems and advanced MS Excel to work with large data sets.

Creates effective business partnerships, manages competing priorities and is a strong team player.

Uses active listening skills to communicate data in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner.

Basic Qualifications

BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science).

3+ years of finance experience or a related analytical field

Preferred Qualifications

Professional certifications, CPA or Licensed Customs Brokerage.

Experience working in Accounting, Treasury or Financial Reporting

Demonstrated effective communication and collaboration skills
