This is a hybrid remote position with approxmiate 15% travel.

You must be able to attend meetings at 241 Ralph McGill Blvd., Atlanta, GA if/when required….. and travel to support Storm Logistics as needed.

Summary Of Position Duties

The Financial Analyst position will provide reporting support and training to internal team for insight on and influence for financial business decisions that will drive growth, operational excellence, and process improvement including, target setting, reporting and analysis, planning and forecasting, corporate financial direction. Provide technical leadership, planning, and support to help support organizational goals to meet corporate and business unit goals and objectives; ensure compliance with policies, procedures and applicable laws and regulations that govern our business; establish and maintain effective relationships and communications with internal team and corporate partners to achieve these objectives. Be proficient in data management skills and a technical subject matter expert in SQL, Access, Oracle Financial Systems, SmartView, and system processes for AFT Budgeting. This position will coordinate the timely and accurate data gathering and analysis of ad hoc billing and reporting to various levels of management regarding the findings of various analyses as needed, such as Storm Billing, Cell Phone Support, Printers/Copiers, etc.

Job Experience And Education

B.S./B.A. in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field required

At least 3 years of database systems, or similar experience highly desired

Basic understanding of GAAP and FASB

Experience Finance or Accounting, although not required, is encouraged

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Demonstrated knowledge of financial management information systems and tools (Microsoft, Oracle, PowerPlan, Maximo, etc.)

Knowledge of data analytics platforms (Oracle Analytics, Power BI, etc.)

Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Access/Excel, Toad for SQL Server, Microsoft SQL Server Management, Visual Studio, Polybase

Familiarity with financial and accounting principles and procedures, General Accounting Procedures and Corporate Guidelines

Understanding of key financial concepts- Net income, EPS, cash flow analysis, revenue requirements

Ability to manage stress and balance multiple priorities while producing high quality work under intense workloads and pressure


Strategic thinking and planning skills

Effective interpersonal and communication skills

Creative analytical and problem-solving skills

Demonstrated database management skill

Excellent computer skills


Provide technical and financial support to the AFT Budgeting team

Have ability to understand technical information and translate it to useful business unit and executive reporting

Be a self-starter to identify gaps in reporting and systems processes

Assist in creating reports as needed to support financial analysis across the organization

Build strong working relationships with internal and external partners to develop useful and meaningful reports that deepen business understanding for AFT team

Understanding of Budget Preparation and Financial Reporting

Ensuring accurate accounting and reporting of financial information

Develop reporting 5 year budgets annually with the assistance of key stakeholders.
