Position Summary

The IS Business Automation Senior is a member of the Historical Society’s Finance Team and operates under general supervision of the Director of Finance & Policy. This position is responsible for business process improvement and system automation for financial and budget functions; ensuring proper storage and access for financial and budget data; preparing reports and maintaining reporting systems and processes; and serving as the financial liaison to the Museums and Historic Sites Division.

This role will work closely with the Society’s central IT team to develop and maintain an agency-wide data warehouse, reporting system, and associated policies and protocols.

Salary Information

This position is in schedule-range 07-34 with an annual salary of $66,560 – $85,550, plus excellent benefits. A twelve month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.

Qualifications

Minimally qualified candidate will have experience in all of the following:

Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel, such as developing Macros and writing VBA scripts, PowerQuery, and PowerPivot

Experience in finance, accounting, or budgeting

Experience working with large data sets, including maintaining storage, access, and reporting systems

In addition to minimum qualifications, a well-qualified candidate will additionally have experience in two of the following areas:

Experience with State of WI budgeting and appropriations

Experience working with museums, historic sites, or similar tourism or attraction-based operations

Experience with Oracle PeopleSoft, including query development and data analysis
