The Budgets group within the Financial Planning & Analysis organization (FPA) has a rare opportunity for a strong, experienced Lead analyst who will have significant responsibility for the development and maintenance of Overhead Budgets for Raytheon Missile & Defense (RMD). This role will have interaction and visibility with senior management, Corporate, and the RMS Chief Financial Officer
This is ideally a hybrid role with the selected candidate within commuting distance to our RMD facility in Tucson, AZ. Responsibilities To Anticipate
Serve as Lead for a team of FPA Budget analysts to include training, mentoring, and task based leadership
Obtain a breadth of knowledge of all RMS financial metrics with an emphasis on prime resources and overhead expenses along with a full understanding of all the intricacies of Overhead Budget development and maintenance (to include detailed analysis, trends, what-if’s, etc).
Develop a firm understanding of all aspects of Overhead Expenses including Direct and Indirect headcounts, Fringe, Overhead and G&A expenses
Provide guidance and drive results through a team environment while developing and improving the knowledge base of others on the team
Analyze monthly overhead performance and forecasts and communicate to the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) management team using standard company tools and processes
Directly interact with the CFO, FPAC, Rates, Government Accounting, Cost Accounting and Financial Accounting
Partner with RMS organizations, accounting, and FP&A team by coordinating general close activities
Drive expense and manpower alignment and integration with the Rates, Resource Planning, Financial Planning, E&IT and OSQ finance groups
Support our FPRP with prompt response to Requests For Information (RFIs) as it pertains to overhead expense actuals and forecasts
Become knowledgeable in both internal and external controls, such as Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and RMS Disclosure Statement
Help ensure that all team assignments are prioritized and completed on schedule with adequate time allotted for management review
Lead and oversee a variety of activities to include: Close requirements (monthly and quarterly) and what-if scenarios to support outlook overhead projections
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in business (finance, accounting or economics preferred), or mathematics .
An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience as follows: Master’s is equal to 2 years of experience, or a Ph.D. is equal to 4 years of experience.
5 years of experience in business discipline
