The South Carolina Department of Administration’s Division of Administrative Services is seeking an experienced Accountant/Fiscal Analyst in the Office of Finance that will assist in the management of the finance activity of the Assets section of the office. You will also maintain asset reporting and coordinate year-end inventory for the Department of Administration and all supported agencies.
Responsibilities of the Fiscal Analyst:
Assist with the recording and reporting of assets for the Department of Administration and supported agencies. Work with agency divisions/offices to ensure proper posting of new/found assets along with maintenance of asset data, asset disposals, asset transfers. Organize year-end inventory reviews of all recorded assets. Work with agency divisions to ensure monthly reconciliations of asset listings are up to date.
Manage the Governor’s Mansion off-SCEIS checking account including reconciliations of monthly bank statements, ensuring funds for the mansion reimbursed by General Fund, assisting the Mansion with online accounts for purchases.
Assisting in Cash Management for Admin and all supported agencies as well as preparation of various Year-end Reporting Packages.
Review and approval of Admin and Shared Services agencies deposits in SCEIS workflow.
Assist the General Ledger section with Journal Entry preparation.
Assist the General Ledger Section of Admin Services Finance with the preparation of year-end Cash and Investments reporting packages for Statewide reporting purposes.
Performs other job duties as required.
Minimum Requirements for the Fiscal Analyst:
A high school diploma and professional experience in a related area such as accounting, auditing, finance, or commercial lending. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered with an approved equivalence by the Division of State Human Resources (DSHR).
Additional Requirements for the Fiscal Analyst:
Knowledge of the principles and terminology of accounting.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others must have good written and oral communication skills.
Must be able to create complex spreadsheets and prepare analytical reports.
Knowledge of the State’s fiscal policies and procedures.
