Business Advancement | Blackwell Administration and General
Under the direction of the Assistant Controller Business Advancement the Fiscal Officer working title Fiscal Officer p rovides fiscal support for the following Business Advancement Units with annual budgets totaling $41Million: Predominately for the Blackwell, Fawcett, and Drake, and assisting with support as needed for Trademark & Licensing, Strategic Business Advancement, BA Administration, and University Hospitality District. Backup to the Assistant Controller as needed.
Provide financial support for Blackwell and Fawcett Center; manage PCard, reconcile sales receipts with source data, track and resolve any variances of cash, checks, credit cards, or BuckID; assists in reconciling general ledger to support documentation and resolving discrepancies; prepare and enter deposits; prepares accruals, adjustments, and journal entries; prepares various cost of sales tracking and reconciliations; process accounts receivable and provides internal and external customer support; process deposits and payments for event space including check, credit card, ACH and Internal Service Delivery; processes accounts payable and is the liaison between Central AP and vendors; provides guidance, expertise, and instruction to the department administrators and staff on fiscal matters; maintains fiscal records; assists in development and coordination of financial records maintenance and retention; assists with fiscal audits; assists with overs ite of PCI compliance and assists with PCI Audits; provides departmental internal communications and policy interpretations as it relates to fiscal matters; supervises unit student accounting staff; completes other duties as assigned
Minimum Education Required
Bachelor’s Level Degree or equivalent with 1-2 years of financial management experience or combination of education and experience with a n emphasis in accounting or finance .
Excellent written and verbal communication skills , supervisory experience , a customer service orientation , and experience with accounts receivable and accounts payable. Knowledge of OSU fiscal, procurement, travel, and human resource polic ies and procedure s. Experience in Work d ay is required.
Would need to be able to work nights and weekend for global events and mana ger on duty.
Desired Experience: working knowledge w ith computer/web-based point of sales systems ( Opera/Sales Force ), and IT applications; proficiency using Microsoft Excel, Word, Pivot Tables, A ccess; organizational and project planning/prioritization skills .
Salary Range: $48,000 – $55,000
