Head of Finance Job at Thames Reach – in Head of Finance

Job Summary

Role: Head of Finance

Grade £53,212 6.5% employer contributory pension (with employee contribution of 1.5%)

Hours: 37.5 per week

Location: Employment Academy, Camberwell SE5

Contract type: Fixed Term Contract (maternity cover) until 28th April 2023

Closing date: 20th April

Interview date: 26th April

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Central Services and supported by a management accountant and finance team, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

Management of transactional finance

Preparation of management accounts

The external audit process and to oversee completion of our statutory returns

Budgeting and forecasts

The management and development of the finance department in our award winning and dynamic organisation.

To succeed as the Head of Finance, you will have:
A recognised professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CCAB) with the highest integrity and an understanding of FRS and SORP

An ability to deliver all the technical aspects of the financial accounting and management reporting functions

Proven leadership skills and experience of thinking and acting strategically partnered with the drive to ensure plans are initiated, followed, implemented, and completed

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with people at all levels, in person and in writing

A flexible approach with the ability to be responsive to a change of focus quickly; an adaptive thinker.
