Job Summary

Under general supervision of the Director of Decision Support and Analytics, responsible for supporting the education of the hospital leadership in all aspects of hospital finance. Shadow end user workflow on regular basis to build/maintain working rapport, understand operational needs & business processes and provide on the fly assistance. Analyze end user workflows and make recommendations to improve understanding relating to Management Reporting, Productivity and Budgeting. Follows adult learning principles, and evidence-based practice to align education goals with business needs and identified strategies of Tampa General Hospital. Facilitate training ongoing for new leaders and any leader as requested. Designs overall learning plan and specific training plans, delivers training, and facilitates organizational change. Identifies and recommends process improvement opportunities to improve productivity, performance, and customer satisfaction through surveys to the internal customers Finance supports. Coordinates and monitors the maintenance of the Finance SharePoint site. Other ad hoc duties as assigned based on organizational strategic needs.


Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, finance, or related field.

3 or more years’ experience working related to Financial Information, preferably in an acute care hospital setting.

Experience using Peoplesoft FCM and StrataJazz, preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

Ability to learn under mentorship.

Ability to develop and implement training materials and presentations in various formats.

Ability to meet deadlines; well organized.

Ability to support multiple concurrently running projects and adapt to changing deadlines, competing priorities and unexpected assignments.

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
