About the role:
Insurance is a key financial risk mitigation tool. You will be a trusted advisor to the Ampol Business, applying your insurance and commercial acumen to support and contribute to the achievement of the Finance/Treasury business strategies by providing high quality general insurance services. Manage key relationships with Brokers, Insurers and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:
Act as the Subject Matter Expert for all Insurance related queries and advice, leading a team of 1

Support creating and delivering the Group Insurance strategy

Work directly with the Ampol Captive manager

Contribute significantly to business transformation and new business activities

Facilitate the timely investigation and settlements of major insurance claims

Guide the business to identify and meet its insurance, claims management and contractual indemnity responsibilities through regular reporting of insurable exposures

Partner the business to educate on insurable risk

Budget and forecast General Insurance accounts for appropriate business unit

Continuously improve systems and processes for general insurance

About you:
As an expert in general insurance and business risks, you will be excited to join an organisation during a time of growth and transformation. Utilise your strong communication skills, as you influence stakeholders to make informed decisions in line with best practice trends and insurance risks.

Key skills and experience:
Relevant tertiary qualification (Accounting, Finance, Risk etc.)

Demonstrated knowledge of risk management principles/methodologies and their application within a corporate environment

Advanced influencing skills and strong commercial acumen

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of best practice and trends in insurance and risk

Leadership, coaching and team building skills to create a high performing culture
