We have a role where you will be continually presented with new opportunities and challenges. Derivatives Operations provides accounting and operational services in support of a wide range of derivatives instruments (swaps, options, futures, and hybrid structured products). You will be working with a creative and intelligent team of professionals who handle complex products which pose complex challenges.

Who you’ll work with

Derivatives Operations is a dynamic team of professionals from varied backgrounds (CA, CFA, MBA, HBA, B.Comm, B.Sc). Our mission is to provide expertise and top-notch service for the derivatives products traded by the Fund. You will work collaboratively with a product team on daily tasks such as settlements, reconciliation, reporting, and other operational tasks. You will also liaise with Traders, Portfolio Managers, external brokers and vendors on a regular basis.

What you’ll do

Core responsibilities include:
Maintaining timely and accurate financial records of derivative transactions

Reconciling large data sets to ensure data quality

Connecting with brokers to facilitate transactions and settlements processing

Monitoring lifecycle activities for the derivatives book (resets, expiries, corporate actions, dividends, etc.)

Producing various reports for internal and external needs

Working with senior team members on ad-hoc projects

What you’ll need

We are looking for candidates who possess these qualities:
Understanding of Financial products is required – a strong foundation in Derivatives markets & concepts is preferred

Intermediate Excel is required. VBA and SQL skills are preferred

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment

Possess a continuous improvement mind-set

Must be enrolled in 3rd / 4th year

You must be enrolled in a co-op program or returning back to your studies after the work term is completed
