This is a fantastic opportunity to join a close-knit Finance team working in a fast-paced fintech environment. We’re looking for a detail-oriented finance whizz who takes pride in their work to join us. The position will report to the Financial Accountant and Head of Finance, and will play an important role in the overall record keeping of our customer transactions, Loan Management System (LMS) and disbursements to customers. The successful candidate will have primary day-to-day responsibility for maintaining, recording, reporting and checking controls for the company’s transactions with customers.

Not only will you play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and controls for LMS and implement controls and improvements, but you will be accountable for the accuracy of customer transactions, the entire LMS from receipts from different channels to disbursements and recording of client arrears.

Responsibilities will include:
Preparing our Loan Register

Ensuring timeous and accurate recording of all LMS transactions

Maintaining and updating the LMS

Reconciling and checking the daily disbursement system

Loading manual disbursements (including refunds) to our customers when required

Managing automated disbursements to customers (ensuring checks are in place)

Running and producing reconciliation reports and checks (debit orders, receipts, customer transactions)

Continuously looking at ways to automate items and processes

Project Work (ad hoc)

Working with the Financial Accountant to obtain reporting directly from our LMS instead of relying on Excel

Team support as required

Matric with Maths and Accounting

1-year certificate/post matric development program (or equivalent experience to provide the administrative support required)

Tertiary qualification (desirable but not essential)

1-2 years’ commercial experience in a similar role

Good working knowledge of MS office, Google Suite, Xero and other IT packages

Outstanding reconciliation skills
