KPMG’s Financial Services Finance Transformation Practice helps organizations maximize efficiencies and drive business value across the enterprise. Our capabilities range from brief strategy assessments to end-to-end implementations of transformation, leveraging new finance operating models, cloud based ERP technologies, intelligent automation, advanced analytics, and AI. We help our clients to strengthen and transform their finance operations by improving transparency, information integrity and governance with the finance discipline needed to drive business insights, and ultimately, positive outcomes for Canadians. We help CFOs make their function future-ready, taking into consideration key finance disruptors, like IFRS 17.
Our Finance Transformation Advisory practice is seeking Manager level candidates to strengthen our Management Consulting practice in the Toronto office. We are looking for a talented professional who brings a combination of finance skills, IFRS 17 skills, technology skills, and business acumen required to be a key advisor to our FS clients on transforming their Finance function.
What you will do:
Manage projects to improve or redesign finance by leveraging digital technologies, modern operating models, and new ways of working
Provide leadership, direction and guidance to senior and middle management level client stakeholders on their Finance transformation efforts
Help organizations manage risks and improve performance
Identify business development opportunities for Finance Transformation advisory projects
Support the development of proposals and marketing events
Manage, mentor and train Consultants and Senior Consultants within the Finance Transformation advisory practice
Work with senior KPMG leaders to enhance and integrate service offerings across Management Consulting practices and regions
Help foster an inclusive environment where colleagues feel they can bring their whole selves to work.
What you bring to this role:
A seasoned professional with 5+ years of relevant experience in financial management or back office finance processes.
A Chartered Professional Accountant, or have a relevant degree and possess deep experience in the operations of a finance function
Experienced working with FS organizations, ideally on IFRS 17 programs.
Knowledgeable of end-to-end finance functional and technical architecture
Knowledgeable of the key technologies and systems involved in finance including data platforms/warehouses, analytics tools, EPM tools, actuarial tools, robotic process automation tools, low code / no code platforms, and ERP systems
A self-starting, pro-active team player that is experienced in working in dynamic environments and within a multi-disciplinary team
A problem-solver, with strong analytical skills and the ability to clearly and articulately identify and define problems and develop creative solutions to address client requirements
A project manager, with demonstrated ability to plan and execute projects to a successful conclusion
A strong communicator, both written and verbal (bilingual in English and French is an asset), with the ability to communicate with client stakeholders, work closely in a collaborative team environment and lead teams and project deliverables
Able to create and deliver engaging presentations to senior executives/stakeholders and business managers.
A strong people manager, able to lead teams and develop others
