As a Manager, Risk & Control Enablement, you will join our high performing Enterprise Services Controls Office team and assist in supporting our technology business to identify, assess and manage the risk inherent in providing a range of technology and operations services to the CBA group. This role will report to the Risk and Control Enablement Senior Manager Financial Crime Risk.

The ES CCO teams advise and support the Enterprise Services (Technology) businesses and business partners on Risk and Controls and change initiatives to deliver to deliver business outcomes within risk appetite.

In any given week you will:
Collaborate with the business to design and implement controls to enable better risk and compliance outcomes

Identify, lead and manage the continuous improvement of the business control environment by using data to generate insights and reports

Manage root cause analysis of issues and incidents, identifying and implementing control improvements

Design controls for all new and changing processes and operations, and support the business through the implementation

Identify, initiate and manage actions to mitigate risks and to strengthen controls, including issues identified through audits and other external processes

Input and maintain data quality in various databases and monthly management reporting

Contribute to a proactive risk and control culture and collaborate with the business

Ensure risks are profiled and captured in the Risk Profile (RCSA) and updated when risk trigger events occur

Ensure the correct risk and controls overlay the end to end process mapping and documentation management to support the control process

Work effectively with Line 2 colleagues to determine optimal course of action to remediate any significant data integrity issues within the BU.

We’re interested in hearing from people who have

Prior risk experience in banking/financial services/other relevant experience.

Understanding of Technology Controls and ability to apply them to new technology being implemented into the Bank

Controls design experience

Understanding of and experience in Risk in Change

An interest and experience in Operational Risk and Financial Crime.

Knowledge of Operational and Compliance Risk frameworks

Influencing and consulting skills, the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Ability to analyse/identify risks and opportunities and recommend appropriate actions
